So, I was about to sit down and start writing todays blog…
But then “Harvest Moon” by Neil Young came on my Spotify, which made me wonder about the song and for some reason I thought the song was off the album Harvest. It’s not, it’s off of Harvest Moon, which made me feel silly because I had gone all this time thinking those two albums were one in the same. So I had to start reading up on those albums…
Then this other crazy thing happened to me, which was after I got done doing all my Neil Young research, and I again sat down to start work on today’s blog, I had this thought that I don’t know enough about Robert Gould Shaw. If you don’t know who he is, he was the commanding officer of the 54th Massachusetts, which was the first African American regiment that fought in the Civil War.
So, instead of writing a blog about what I was going to write about, I thought I would just tell you what I have been thinking about.
