  • What It’s Like To Be a Stay-at-Home-Dad? (“Mommy Has Questions” Podcast Interview)

Here is the episode of the podcast Mommy Has Questions that I was interviewed on. It was a fun conversation about stay at home parenting, male roles in the family, and the couple of other things. I had great time, enjoyed the discussion, and the whole Mommy Has Questions team made me feel comfortable and right at home. So thank you for having me.

Please, give it a listen – follow, subscribe, leave a comment. You know the drill.

  • Oh, I Tried

It’s just not going to happen today.

Oh, I tried. I really tried. I mean I really, really tried.

    I had a plan. I had a schedule. I had goals. I had execution.

Maybe wires got crossed. Maybe it’s because of The Rapture.

Maybe God changed his mind, decided no on The Rapture, but yes on screwing with my day.

Sure, I got all the stuff done for my family. Made sure that they are taken care of. I’m not an idiot; I know what my priorities are.

I some point you have to cut your losses. Decide that a tactical retreat is the best plan of action. Live to fight for another day.

And then, just creating something. Even a little something, is a little victory.

A small step is still a step.

  • Earworm Wednesday: Our Pandemic Song

The one thing I know for a fact is that my wife is the one who introduced this song to our family during the Pandemic. It got put on a playlist that we listened to all the time; out driving, taking a hike, having a picnic, dance party at home, whatever we were doing this song would pop up. I put it on a playlist, and the kid even added it to one of her first playlists she created. So when I hear it, not only does it get stuck in my head, but it reminds me of a very specific two year period of my life.
