  • Air Travel

Flying on a plane sucks. It’s not fun anymore, and is more akin to being crammed on a busy bus. It is the necessary evil for vacationing which makes it a chore to accomplish, rather than part of the fun.

But who I really feel bad for is my daughter. She lives in this age of airline hassle. Some of it might be needed, like the security checks, but most of it is just an inconvenience.

We tell her about how there used to be space on the plane. And that people could meet you at the gate when you arrived. Her great grandmother used to go to the airport and just watch people at the terminal because you could just show up and walk around without a ticket.

I know things change and old people, like me, always think things were better in the past. But in this instance, I do fault the airlines for putting profits, and the theory of seeing how far they can push us with nickel and dime inconveniences with ruining the joy of air travel.

  • Gone Fishin’

    See you tomorrow…

  • Still Supporting

Even though I feel it in my soul, Tottenham’s season is over, I will still be supporting them this afternoon against Man United.

There is always a chance I could be wrong. That the winds of change will blow and somehow Spurs will find their way back to fourth place in the Premier League. Yes, that might happen…

Yet, here I sit in park, about to watch the match on my phone. There are a hundred other things I should be doing, that would be a better use of my time. But…

No matter what happens, I will make sure to write about it. Specifically, on this blog, to my four readers, so that you can share in my pain and suffering with a sprinkle of frustration.

  • President’s Day

Don’t go to the laundromat to catch up on laundry on President’s Day. It’s not the celebration of grand leadership that you think it would be. More like a sociological experiment on how the sacristy of resources affects people in already stressful situations.

  • Pass

I think I’m just going to pass on today. Not giving up, but I’m taking a pass. Just going to listen to music and read, and not do much else.

    I’ll do more tomorrow.
