No offense to anyone, but this one drives me up the wall.
Sorry…
No offense to anyone, but this one drives me up the wall.
Sorry…
I am trying to get use to our new summer schedule, being that the kid is outta school, and it just isn’t taking.
The World Cup being on isn’t helping anything either.
I know the answer to all of this is discipline, but let’s be honest, that’s never been my strong suit.
No, I’m a schedule and routine person. If you take me out of that, then I begin to flounder and feel rudderless.
I am currently rudderless.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m getting all the big stuff done around home… You know, my stay-at-home-dad responsibilities.
But my personal creative stuff… that has fallen to the wayside…
And it’s driving me up the wall!
First of all there is nothing wrong with this song, other than it gets stuck in my head. Which I then have to walk around my apartment singing, until it gets stuck in my kid’s head. At which point she starts to hate me.
Other than that, the song’s soild.
When I was growing up, I watched a lot of tv. One of the best UHF stations in the Dallas/Fort Worth area was Channel 21 which showed tons of monster movies, weird supernatural “documentaries,” and kung-fu flicks. My love of bad movies comes directly from this station.
So, when I was watching Rob Hill’s latest installment of his “Borrowing Blockbuster” series, all about the rip-off Bruce Lee movies, I know for certain that I watched several of those growing up.
The best news out of all of this is that there will be two more episodes of the “Bruceploitation!”

(This joint is jumping!)

There’s been lots of celebrating in the City since the Knicks won, and if you have been walking around here in the past week, New York feels like one giant neighborhood. It’s best summed up by MD Ahnaf Hossain who said, “My mayor’s Muslim / My bagel’s Jewish / My Christian’s Dior / Knicks in four!” Or you could go with, “My mayor’s Muslim / My bagel’s Jewish / The Pope’s on our side / Knicks in five!”
Gearing up for USA v Australia in about an hour, and I’m excited for this match. A win means that Team USA will move on to the knockout round. I hate to be one of those supporters, but it Team USA can win their first match in the knockout round, then this World Cup has been a success for them. I would love for them to go deep, hell, even win the whole thing. But, I feel like we are still twenty to thirty years from that. Having said that, I would like to see how far we can go in this thing. Might be awhile before the Cup in held in America again.
I can’t believe I’m going to say this; I’m looking forward to working out each day. Not sure what changed this week, but there you go. I can learn new things.
